Event Admin and Assistant , Bear Races

The Bear Group are looking for an Event Assistant (Admin) with a passion for delivering sporting events to join The Bear Group. The Bear Group own a portfolio of mass participation running events and manage events for clients. This new team member will be responsible for assistance in the delivery of multiple mass participation running events alongside the Bear Team. This role will be a great opportunity for anyone looking to develop their career in the event industry.

Full-time (40 hours/week) in our office @ Brownsbarn, Kingswood, Dublin, CO. Dublin D22 HX95

The Bear Group

The Bear Group is a Dublin Based business consisting of several subsidiary companies that each operate in the Event, Construction, and Pharmaceutical Industries in Ireland.

We started off in 2013, as Bear Sporting Events Ltd with the initial purpose of providing supplies to the Irish sporting event industry. The company has been extremely successful to date, delivering rapid annual growth since its inception. The success has led to several acquisitions and expansions which have seen the group broaden its reach and focus. The group currently consists of two primary companies, Bear Sporting Ltd and Bearcon Industrial. Bear Sporting Ltd trades as several subsidiary companies; Bear Races, Bear Events, and CleanLoo. Bearcon Industrial operates in the Pharmaceutical Industry and provides procurement services and safety consultancy to clients.

From organising half marathons & sporting events, providing portaloos & fencing solutions to draping wedding receptions, and providing LED party packages & marquees. We provide full event solutions for all our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management and organisation of mass participation running events as assigned by the Director.
  • Plan all aspects of the events and execute on their logistics and operations, including but not limited to, acquiring permits/permissions, procurement of event assets, volunteer management and event communications.
  • Assist the Director in the management of sporting events.
  • Work with other Bear Group departments and staff to ensure events are adequately planned.
  • Communicating, maintaining, and developing client, sponsor, and supplier relationships
  • Developing and managing event budgets.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and event participants.
  • Working with and leading the events team to set up, deliver and de-rig events

Key Skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Publisher
  • Highly motivated and demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Organised with ability to meet deadlines and manage own workload. Excellent communicator in both written and verbal formats
  • Have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Previous experience working withing the endurance event industry a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Event management or similar a bonus.

Trailer Driver (BE Licence), Event Work

The Bear Group is one of Ireland’s largest event organizers. We work predominantly in sporting, festivals, concerts, cultural events, and many other types of event. We are looking for a reliable, hard working and trustworthy Individual to add to our quickly growing team.

Work will mostly take place on Thur, Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon each week, but this may change.
